delete chat entry (not logs)

It would be really nice if the Room Manager could delete a chat entry.  Not the logs, but the chat message sent by the user.  Or even just hiding it, or both.  Here is what I mean:  In the chat room, when a user sends a message, it appears in the window as normal, however there is an additional red X (for delete) and a green down arrow (for hide) just to the right of the date/time stamp for the message.  This would only appear for the Room Manager, or it could be implemented in the Permissions tab right after View Chat? (Delete Chat? Hide Chat?).

Aside from offensive content moderation, Support or Customer Service (Room Managers) could remove incorrect, or outdated comments.  In my particular scenario, the default room is a Waiting Room, and sometimes people have to be told that there is a new (private) chat tab showing.  Once the user "gets it", the moderator should be able to remove the "hey, notice the other tab there..." message.

Thanks, and oh yeah.... Great Mod!!  I wish we would have bought it on SnowCovered so I could post you some positive feedback!

Re: delete chat entry (not logs)
AWESOME suggestion. As a matter of fact, this is almost a must-have. Currently i will see myself creating an sql query to fire off to wipe errant posts, but don't want to do that, and even as i type this i realize that i am not sure if the posts are stored in the database.. if it is xml, then i likely won't even attempt it.

This original post is very old, can we have some thoughts from Swirlhost on this? thank you kindly, drew..
