Errors on DNN 4.0.3

Hi,

I have just downloaded and installed the new 1.7.3 version of the chatroom on a DNN 4.0.3 installation. On my local testing system it worked fine so I then installed on my main site. However, the chatroom would not load and the log viewer showed the following exception:

I modified the web.config to add the requirePermission="false" attribute. The chatroom would then display on the page but did not display that I had entered the chat and did not allow me to send a message. Another check of the log viewer showed this exception:

It seems there is some kind of security issue going on. My site is running in a Medium Trust environment - could this be the source of the issue? I would be grateful for assistance in resolving this as I have been looking forward to being able to use this module on my DNN 4 site.

Can you temporarily set the Trust Level to "FullTrust" and see if that will alleviate your problem. Same problem here.

ASPNix.com is my host. Works fine on my dev machine at home and no, I cannot set my hosts machine to Full Trust mode.

Our programming team has been working overnight to resolve the "Medium Trust" issues associated with running the Swirl AJAX Chatroom Module in DotNetNuke 4.x installations in hosted environments. An updated version (1.8.0) has been built and tested to run in Medium Trust hosted environments.

However, this update REQUIRES a new version of the AJAX.NET "pro" edition. The new package is now available in the "Downloads" section of our website (look for version 1.8.0). BE SURE to read the installation.txt file (inside the latest package) for the latest installation information. Also, please see the important announcement posted on our website if you are upgrading from a prior version.

I can confirm that the 1.8.0 release has fixed my problems with DNN 4.0.3 under Medium Trust. Thanks a lot for the great customer support - I was kept updated by e-mail and notified as soon as the fix was ready.
